Nigerian Award-winning singer, Tiwa Savage, has stated while Nigerian men are known for their impressive styles and appearance, they often fall short when it comes to romance.
In a chat on GRM Daily’s Thoughts in a Culli, the singer described them as “swaggalicious but not romantic,” explaining that although they excel at showing off their wealth and fashion sense, they rarely express true emotional affection.
According to her, many of these men are more focused on showing off material success than building meaningful emotional connections.
She said:
“Nigerian men do have swag but they are not really romantic when it comes down to it.
“They know how to swag and splash cash, but I’m not looking for that.”
Tiwa Savage shot to prominence in 2010 with her breakout single Kele Kele Love and has since become one of Africa’s most prominent and celebrated music icons, earning numerous international accolades and widespread global acclaim.
