Nigerian Media personality Bolanle Olukanni mourns dead lawyer, Bolanle Raheem

Bolanle Olukanni, a Popular Nigerian TV personality, has expressed grief over the sudden death of Lagos-based practitioner Bolanle Raheem, who was killed on Christmas day by a police officer in Lagos state.

It was gathered that Bolanle Raheem, her husband, her sister, and four children were returning from a Christmas Church service around 11am when an Assistant Superintendent of Police attached to Ajah Division tried to stop them, shot the lawyer and was confirmed dead on getting to the hospital.

The media personality, Olukanni, who claimed that Bolanle Raheem was her real estate agent decried the use of the phrase “unfortunate” by the police spokesman of Lagos state.

She said “An unfortunate incident is a flat tyre, an unfortunate incident is water flooding my house.”

“A mother and wife was killed and you use the words unfortunate. I pray no one ever describes your family with those words . Nonsense,” she wrote in the tweet shared on Monday.

Describing Bolanle Raheem as a hardworking and positive-minded person via her twitter handle today, Monday, Olukanni disclosed that the legal practitioner helped her in realising her goal of buying a landed property.

“Bolanle Raheem was my real estate agent,” Olukanni tweeted.

“She supported me in my goal and was always cheering me on. She was so hardworking , positive and such a cheerful spirit. She has a husband and child. I can’t even say more. The Nigerian police are killers.”
