Nigerian Man Cuts-off Girlfriend’s Hand For Dumping Him After Collecting His Money, Resources

One man who claimed he was jilted by his girlfriend for a new lover has landed in Police Net after he allegedly hacked her to death in Kaduna State.

DSP Muhammad Jalige, who is the Kaduna State police spokesman confirmed the arrest in a statement released on Friday, 21st of April, 2023 and was obtained by freshreporters.

According to the statement, the suspect was rescued as he was about being lynched by a mob in area of Kaduna .

Jalige said on the 14th of April, 2023 at about 21:30hrs, the Command received a distress call that there was a mob action at NEPA Roundabout in Kaduna metropolis where an unruly crowd were about to lynch a man.

Freshreporters had gathered that the command operatives were immediately mobilised to the scene.

“On getting there they met the suspect lying unconscious and surrounded by a crowd,” he said.

According to Jalige, information gathered revealed that the suspect attacked his girlfriend of Old Command Secondary and Nursery School, Sokoto Road, Kaduna with a machete and inflicted multiple degrees of injury on her face, arms and hands.

He stressed that during the attack the man severed her left hand completely, alleging that he had spent a lot of resources on her and she wanted to dump him for another man.

The victim was however, rushed to Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, for treatment where a doctor on duty confirmed she passed on in the process of surviving her.

“The corpse of the lady has been
deposited at the same hospital, for an autopsy,” Jalige said.

The PPRO revealed that investigation was ongoing and the suspect remains in their custody.
