Nigerian Custom Records N1.8bn Seizure in Eight Months, Reward Officers (Photos)

The Seme Area Command of the Nigerian Customs has congratulated it operatives involved in the seizures of goods worth N1.8bn in the last eight months.

This was conveyed in a statement issued out on the command’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday, 9th of September, 2023.

According to the statement, the operations were successful as “a result of painstaking efforts made by the Command leadership in partnership with our stakeholders to ensure compliance with our revenue generation agenda.”

The statement went further to mention that in line with the Nigeria Customs Service’s dictate of encouraging its personnel, the operatives involved in these seizures received commendation and congratulatory letters from the Acting Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi, and the Area Controller, Comptroller Dera Nnadi.
