The Anti-graft, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC operatives visited the home and polling unit of Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
The anti-money laundering officials, who came in an unmarked white Toyota Hiace bus, arrived at Peter Obi’s country house but the LP presidential candidate was absent. The Operatives proceeded to Amatutu Ward 2, Polling Unit 019 at exactly 10:25 am.
They, however, refused to grant interviews to the newsmen and no reason for them coming has been ascertained.
It was noted that leader of the anti-graft team was seen having a private chat with INEC officials in the polling unit, urging them to call the commission’s helpline if they need help.
The Anti graft team lead also had a brief discussion with Peter Obi who was on his way back from a tour of the village in anambra State.
Thereafter, the promising team team left the unit, revealing plans to come back to the area soon.
Peter Obi is still being expected at his Amatutu ward two, polling unit 019, of his hometown as of 11:06am.
