The Senator representing Ondo South senatorial district in the National Assembly, Jimoh Ibrahim, has claimed that Nigeria had the potential to achieve similar prosperity like the United Kingdom (UK), but its development was stunted by the abandonment of 11,677 projects across the country.
According to Ibrahim, unlocking these neglected potentials could pave the way for a transformed and thriving Nigeria.
He said this in a post he shared vis his X handle on Monday, 9th of December 2024.
The post reads:
“Nigeria would have been like the UK, but the country cumulative prosperity was arrested by the abandoned 11,677 projects, with Ajaokunta spending $11 billion for 44 years without any steal production. “
