The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday approved two of the four tax reform bills proposed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The approved bills includes: the Nigeria Revenue Service Establishment Bill, and the Joint Revenue Board Establishment Bill
Their passage was followed by a detailed review by an ad hoc committee chaired by Niger East Senator Sani Musa, during Wednesday’s plenary session.
The committee which was set up to resolve controversies and disputes surrounding the proposed tax reforms, debated each clause of the bills after which the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio announced the passage.
