The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has reiterated that the Nigerian Police Force does not support or condone indiscipline, bad conduct and unprofessionalism.
He said this following the arrest of police officers seen in a viral video assaulting a civilian in Kaduna after a user on X, #FemiDurojaiye7 wrote:
“Some policemen have been involved in armed robbery & kidnapping.
The police can’t always depend on videos from the public to catch their offending officers. Wot is the police in-house plan to watch its men & nip their criminal activities in the bud? SARS was poorly supervised”
Responding via his X handle #Princemoye1, Adejobi wrote:
“We have a very strong internal control mechanism and oversight functions in the police. We have been exposing and sanctioning our erring personnel. It’s because of the large number of the police workforce that makes it look as if nothing is being done. We try, and we will continue to do.
