Abubakar Yakubu, who recently assumed the role of President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) after a close election victory over Rita Daniels 116 votes to 113, with three votes deemed invalid has reportedly been involved in a deadly car accident in Surulere, Lagos.
Initial reports suggest that the crash resulted in the death of one person. Yakubu is currently in police custody at the Barracks Police Station in Surulere while authorities investigate the details surrounding the incident.
An official statement regarding the accident’s cause and additional information from investigators has not yet been made public.
