The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Lagos Territorial Office (LTO) has received 156 vulnerable Nigerians from Libya.
The returnees included 77 male adults, 67 female adults, 7 children, and 5 infants.
This was disclosed in a post by NEMA on its official X handle on Wednesday, 4th of December 2024.
The post reads:
“NEMA Lagos Territorial Office LTO, in collaboration with IOM and other stakeholders, has continued to facilitate the safe, humane, and dignified return of Nigerian citizens from Libya.
“The returnees arrived at approximately 19:15 hours on a charter flight operated by Al-Buraq Airline, registration number 5A-BAA, with 156 individuals on board. The group consisted of 77 adult males, 67 adult females, 7 children, and 5 infants.
“The other returnees underwent biometric profiling conducted by the Nigerian Immigration Service, while additional humanitarian assistance was provided by various government agencies to ensure their well-being.
