The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, south west zone, in a joint effort with Oyo State Emergency Management Agency, distributed food and non food items to persons affected by fire disaster at Sango Market, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.
The Zonal Coordinator, Kadiri Olanrewaju, while distributing the items sympathised with the victims and expressed the Federal Government’s support through NEMA for the distribution of food and non-food items.
This was made known in a post shared by the agency on Wednesday, 17th of July, 2024.
The caption reads:
“NEMA, South West Zonal Office in Collaboration with Oyo State Emergency Management Agency on 16th July 2024 distributed Food and Non Food Items to persons affected by fire Disaster at Sango Market Ibadan Oyo State.The distribution exercise was flagged off by the Zonal Coordinator Mr Kadiri Olanrewaju.
“He sympathised with the victims and expressed Federal Government’s support through NEMA for the distribution of food and non food items to the affected Persons. The Iyaloja General of Oyo State Chief Amb Alhajia Sariat Aduke thanked the Federal Government and NEMA for the materials provided and the timely intervention.
“The distribution was Carried out in the presence of relevant Stakeholders which includes, Oyo SEMA, Nigeria Police Force, Market Association representative, Community leaders, among others.
