Emmanuel Abel, one young judo player, who competed at the ongoing National Youth Games, won the gold medal for team Edo despite an arm injury sustained during the fight.
Abel, who competed in the 35kg category, dislocated his arm during his bout with Katsina’s Goodluck Anthony.
The event was held at the multipurpose hall, Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State.
Celebrating Abel on Friday, TeamNigeriaUK, in an Instagram post, shared a photo of the young player writing alongside, “National Youth Games Asaba 2023.
“On a positive note: This is Emmanuel Abel (Edo State). He dislocated his arm during the bout against Goodluck Anthony (Katsina) in the 35kg Judo Boys.
