NAF conducts large-scale airlifts for hundreds of junior cadets nationwide

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully conducted a large-scale airlift mission, transporting hundreds of Junior Airmen and Junior Airwomen from the Air Force Military School and Air Force Girls Military School in Jos to various destinations across the country.

According to a statement on the Force’s official X handle, the mission was executed using the NAF’s C-130 Hercules and ATR-42 aircraft, highlighting the service’s logistical capabilities beyond combat operations.

The flights were aimed at ensuring the safe and efficient movement of the young cadets, many of whom were returning home for scheduled breaks.

According to the NAF, the operation underscores the leadership commitment of the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, whose Command Philosophy, “People First, Mission Always,” continues to shape initiatives that prioritize personnel welfare alongside operational readiness.

NAF’s statement reads:

“In a remarkable display of commitment and excellence, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) carried out a series of airlift missions, transporting hundreds of Junior Airmen and Junior Airwomen from Air Force Military School and Air Force Girls Military School, Jos, to various destinations across the country.
