Burna Boy’s Mother/Manager, Bose Ogulu has revealed her father was legendary Fela Kuti’s Manager and that the experience she got has made her manage her son’s well.

“I spent a very short time growing up around Fela Kuti and his crew. I was a baby, but I was old enough to realize that the manager was more responsible than the artist. “

“And the responsibility and the owners of keeping the band members paid and all of that was the responsibility of the manager and not the artist. “

“I discovered that Fela’s band members never went to Fela for anything, they came to my father who was Fela’s manager. “

“I think that is the only thing that I think has remained helpful to me in what I and Burna Boy are doing today. “

“As an artist, you need to have a responsible management that you respect for you to do well because I saw that first hand as a little child”.
