A multi-vehicle accident occurred early Friday morning on Kara Bridge inward OPIC along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, causing heavy traffic congestion that stretched as far back as Otedola Bridge.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident in a statement shared on its official social media handle, noting that emergency response teams were quickly deployed to the scene.
“An accident involving multiple vehicles was recorded on Kara Bridge, inward OPIC,” LASTMA stated.
“Our personnel, along with other emergency responders, are currently on ground to rescue victims and clear the wreckage.”
In a recent development, LASTMA reported that all vehicles involved have now been successfully evacuated. Hence, the road which was partially closed has been reopened for full capacity use.
