Former presidential aspirant and publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, has expressed alarm over the growing support some state governors are showing President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking on News Central, Momodu cautioned that a second term for Tinubu in 2027 could usher in a full-blown dictatorship. He specifically raised concerns over opposition governors, including Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, defecting to the ruling APC.
Momodu said: “The governors are fighting to ensure Tinubu wins a second term, fighting to be the biggest thug for him… If a man in his first term can capture the bodies and souls of Nigerians this way, imagine what he would do with a second term. It will be a full-blown dictatorship, and the governors will regret it as they become total slaves to him.”
He urged Nigerians to remain vigilant, warning that unchecked consolidation of power could threaten democracy and the country’s future.
