President Bola Tinubu on Thursday paid a visit to the Dangote Refinery in Lagos, praising it as a transformative project and a major milestone in Nigeria’s industrial journey.
Describing the facility as a “massive investment” and “a great phenomenon of our time,” Tinubu commended business mogul Aliko Dangote for his vision and commitment.
The President’s remarks were contained in a statement by the State House.
In addition to inspecting the refinery, President Tinubu officially commissioned the access road leading to the Lekki Deep Sea Port.
He lauded Dangote Industries Limited and the construction team for the high standard of work delivered, highlighting the project’s significance to Nigeria’s economic development and infrastructure expansion.
“I am happy that the Deep Sea Port I initiated as Governor of Lagos State is a huge success today. Users save vast amounts of money using this port because they no longer need to trans-ship their goods,” he said.
“I commend the quality of the access road done by Messrs Dangote Industries Limited on our Tax Credit Road programme and the subcontractor, Messrs Hitech Construction Company Limited.”
President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his foresight and leadership in initiating and executing the Lekki Deep Sea Port project.
