Minister of Industry Jumoke Oduwole visits Dangote refinery, says project reflects investor confidence in Nigeria

Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, has described the Dangote Refinery as a strong indication of private sector confidence in Nigeria’s economy.

Oduwole made the remark on Saturday after touring the $20 billion facility alongside Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, who led the inspection.

In a post on X, the minister noted that the multibillion-dollar complex represents more than just crude oil refining, highlighting its broader impact on industrial development and investment in the country.

She wrote:

“Today, I toured the world‑class Dangote Refinery, with Alhaji #AlikoDangote GCON himself leading the way. This $20 billion investment is far more than a refinery, it is a bold statement of confidence in Nigeria’s economy.

“From urea and fertilizer that power our agricultural base, to CNG and refined petroleum products that meet domestic needs and drive exports, this transformative facility is creating thousands of jobs and unlocking entire value chains.

“This administration remains steadfast in supporting Nigerian investors who are building industries of scale and positioning our nation as a true engine of growth for Africa.”
