Reports state that Kylian Mbappe has “chosen to join Real Madrid” from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
The French World Cup winner and the Spanish team have been involved in a protracted and drawn-out drama for almost four years, during which the PSG captain has been linked to a move away from the Parc des Princes.
Le Parisien reports that Mbappe “has decided to leave Ligue 1 at the end of the season and join the biggest club in the world [Real Madrid], which has always been waiting for him.” His contract with the Ligue 1 team is slated to expire in the summer.
According to the source, “optimism reigns in Madrid” and “the biggest locker room contract” for the 25-year-old winger is now being negotiated.
Mbappe does have the option to extend his PSG contract by an additional year, which would result in a pay increase of £60 million for him over the following 12 months.
Additionally, it would keep him from leaving PSG on a free transfer after the team first acquired him from Monaco in 2018 for £153 million. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
