The proscribed leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, on Wednesday, 18th of June, 2024 was at the Federal High Court Abuja where he is being tried for treasonable felony charges.
Kanu condemned “every manner of killing” in the South East stating that they are fighting for freedom and he doesn’t want anybody to die.
He said:
“I condemn every manner of killing, in its entirety. I want you people to understand that because IPOB was founded on a non-violent principle and we maintain that up until this very day, All the making of young widows is condemned in its entirety, i don’t want it, i don’t want anybody to die.
“So I condemn all the killings. I don’t want that. We are fighting for freedom, then how can we fight like this. We want people to be free, that is what we are fighting for. We have suffered a lot in Africa. Africans have suffered, from slave trade in Africa, to slavery in Europe, to slavery in America so i think we should focus our time and devout it to making sure that this continent stands up to what God promised it is going to do and that is why we are doing what we are doing.”
