Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is on his first official visit to Nigeria and the African continent since taking office.
Khan during the visit emphasised his commitment to strengthening connections between the UK capital and one of Africa’s most dynamic and rapidly expanding cities.
According to a statement on the Mayor’s official X handle, Khan engaged in a series of events and meetings aimed at bolstering collaboration across key sectors.
He highlighted the “fantastic” achievements observed in Lagos’s vibrant culture, creativity, tech, and sustainability landscapes.
The statement reads:
“I visited Lagos this week to strengthen ties between London and one of Africa’s fastest growing cities.
