A teenage girl has been shot in the thigh while running from a yet-to-be-identified man as he attempted to sexually abuse her at a dam in Empandeni, Mangwe District in Zimbabwe on Sunday.
According to report gathered today, Thursday, Bernard Tshuma, the Empandeni Ward 1 Councillor, was with the girl in Form Four at Empandeni Secondary School when they were attacked. It was revealed that they had left around 4 p.m., saying they were going to the dam located in the country to take photos.
It was revealed that while they were ( the girls) at the dam, the man pounced on them and began harassing one of the girls, causing the other to flee from the scene.
Trying to stop the other girl from running, the yet-to-be-identified man yelled and fired two shots into the air. The third shot was directed at the girl, injuring her in the thigh.
