A man in Dutse, Jigawa State, has been arrested for the murder of his best friend. The suspect, who has not been named by authorities, reportedly became envious of his friend’s success.
According to police reports, the suspect was struggling financially and could not afford basic necessities, while his friend appeared to be thriving. This disparity allegedly led the suspect to develop a plan to kill his friend.
The victim was allegedly tricked into attending a meeting by the suspect, who pretended to be talking about a business opportunity. After that, he assaulted the victim, murdered him, and buried his corpse.
