A man named Abdu Hamidu has been taken into custody by the Adamawa State Police Command on charges of sexually abusing his niece. According to a statement made public by SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command spokesman, Abdu, 25, is accused of assaulting his nine-year-old niece after enticing her into his room.
According to Nguroje, the suspect was taken into custody on May 4, 2024.
The victim’s father, who also happens to be the suspect’s brother, filed a complaint with Police at Kala’a Division, which led to the arrest, according to a police spokeswoman.
According to him, the inquiry showed that the suspect had canal knowledge of the girl and had tricked the victim into entering the room away from prying eyes. Nguroje promised that when the inquiry is over, the suspect will face charges in court. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
