In a disturbing incident, a 35-year-old father of two, identified as Kabiru Abdullah, has been apprehended for allegedly raping a three-year-old girl in Kaduna State. The incident took place in Zaria City, as reported by Daily Trust.
According to the authorities, vigilantes in Zaria City successfully captured the suspect on June 8, 2023, and subsequently handed him over to the police.
DSP Mohammed Jalige, the spokesperson of the command, has confirmed the arrest and provided some details about the case.
The suspect, Kabiru Abdullah, reportedly confessed to the crime during the investigation. He claimed that the young girl entered his room while he was having a meal, and upon finishing his food, he made the shocking decision to violate her.
The suspect further revealed that he had been a resident of the community for the past 12 years prior to the incident.
