The Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, George Ibezimako Ozodinobi (LP, Anambra), has lauded President Bola Tinubu’s courage on the tax reform bills.
Ozodinobi stated that he saw Tinubu’s bills as a subtle restructuring of this great nation.
Labour Party’s Ozodinobi disclosed this during plenary.
He said:
“The first time this bill was presented, I saw it as a mere perfect document as it were. But based on the wisdom of Mr Speaker and the Deputy Speaker who took the first bullet on the first day it was presented, I went back for further consultation and I want to thank the leadership of this great assembly, especially Mr Speaker who gave us all the time to do the consultation.
“Basically I saw this bill and I’m constrained from where I’m coming from to salute the courage of Mr President for the presentation of this bill. And I also saw it from where I came from as a subtle restructuring of this great nation by this bill. And at the same time a kind of handshake across the Niger to our people.
