Ese Brume, a Long Jumper has broke the Commonwealth record to win the Team Nigeria’s 12th gold medal at the current game event in Birmingham.
The Nigerian Brume placed herself in a commanding position for the gold winning medal after she made her fourth attempt which gave her a new Commonwealth Games record of 6.99m.
The 26-year-old Brume however broke the Games record again in some minutes after her last attempt. She leap of 7.00m to put her way ahead to clinch Nigeria’s last gold of Day 10.
