Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has reportedly reconnected with his mother, Rose Idibia, after a period of tension within the family, fueled by his engagement to Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker in the Edo State House of Assembly.
The reunion comes after Rose Idibia, in a viral video, publicly voiced concerns about her son’s well-being. She pleaded with Nigerians to help persuade Natasha to release 2Baba, suggesting he was not in the right state of mind amid his ongoing divorce from estranged wife, Annie Idibia.
2Baba’s engagement to Natasha was announced shortly after his separation from Annie, and it has since a subject of public scrutiny.
Earlier in February, a video surfaced online showing the moment 2Baba proposed to Honourable Natasha Osawaru in the presence of close friends. Following the proposal, Natasha updated her Instagram bio to “Honourable Natasha IDIBIA,” hinting that a formal union may soon follow.
