Dr. Olabode Abimbola Ibikunle — known as one of the strictest lecturers at Kogi State University, Anyigba — has sadly passed away. His death reportedly occurred in a hotel.
According to sources, Dr. Ibikunle — a married man with children — checked into the hotel three days ago with a young woman, said to be a 200-level student of Social Studies Education.
It is alleged that the lecturer consumed a significant amount of energy drinks before the incident. Unfortunately, not long after their encounter began, he collapsed and did not survive.
The student is currently in police custody as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. Although she claims not to know what happened, law enforcement is exploring all possible angles.
Meanwhile, some students of Kogi State University have been reacting to the news on social media, sharing mixed responses about the lecturer’s passing.
