Leaked Memo Shows SGF Used N1billion To Inaugurate Minimum Wage Committee (Photo)

A memo sent by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume to President Bola Tinubu asking for approval of funds for the inauguration of the tripartite Committee on new National Minimum Wage has leaked.

The memo which is generating a lot of controversy among social media users was signed by the SGF himself.

The memo with file number 58957/S.I/T6/419 requested approval for a one billion naira payment solely for the setting up of the new National Minimum Wage committee.

It was gathered that the memo was sent to President Bola Tinubu on January 18, 2024.
