The Catholic Vatican has shared pictures of the late Pope emeritus, Benedict XVI, lying in his home chapel on new year, Sunday.
Pope Benedict died on New year eve, Saturday aged 95 years.
The Vatican disclosed that the body of the Pope emeritus will remain at rest at the ‘Mater Ecclesiae’ monastery, where had been living before he passed away.
However, from Monday morning at 9 am, the Pope Emeritus’ body with lie in state in St. Peter’s Basilica for public viewing until Thursday morning.
It was also gathered that his burial will come up on the 5th of January, 2023.
