Landlord Arrested for K!dnap, Rápe, and Mûrder of Two AAUA Students in Ondo

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a landlord, Oladele Femi, and several accomplices for allegedly masterminding the kidnap, rape, and murder of two students from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA).

The victims, Abah John Friday (25) and Okah Andrel Eloho (19), were declared missing on June 20, 2025, after which investigations revealed a horrifying sequence of events.

According to police reports, Femi, who was the landlord of one of the victims, orchestrated the crime with the help of two other suspects, Ojo Michael and an accomplice known as “Kola” (still at large).

The students were abducted, robbed, and subjected to brutal violence, including the rape of the female victim, before being murdered to prevent identification.

Forensic tracking led to the recovery of the victims’ stolen iPhone and Lexus RX 350, while ₦800,000 was traced as withdrawn from the male victim’s account during captivity.

The body of Eloho was later found in a bush near Ode-Ekiti, while efforts continue to locate Friday’s remains, believed to have been dumped in a river .

The case has sparked outrage and grief within the university community and beyond, with the Students’ Union Government (SUG) describing the incident as a painful loss.

Police Commissioner Adebowale Lawal emphasized the premeditated nature of the crime, highlighting the “devastating consequences of betrayal and greed.”

The suspects, including Femi, have reportedly confessed to their roles, with Femi admitting to initiating the plot and aiding in concealing the murders.

Meanwhile, the father of the female victim confirmed her death and called for justice, commending the police for their efforts.

This tragic incident underscores the urgent need for improved security measures and community vigilance to prevent such atrocities in the future.
