Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed his administration’s support for a two-week international pre-season football tournament, organised by Super Sport Nigeria and Eko International Cup in the State
The tournament’s trophy has been named after Sanwo-Olu in recognition of his contributions to sports development in the state.
Sanwo-Olu’s support for the tournament aims at creating an enabling environment for corporate and sports-loving organisations to thrive.
A statement by Sanwo-Olu’s media aide, Jubril Gawat, reads:
“Governor of Lagos State, Mr #jidesanwoolu has thrown his weight behind a two-week international pre-season tournament being organised by Super Sport Nigeria and Eko International Cup in Lagos, saying his administration will continue to create an enabling environment for corporate and sports-loving organisations to thrive.
“Governor Sanwo-Olu spoke during a courtesy visit by the General Manager, SuperSport Nigeria, Mr Felix Awogu, and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Eko International Cup, Mr Ifeanyi Ogbu, at the Lagos House, Marina.
“During the event, Awogu and Ogbu, who were accompanied by members of the Organising Committee of the football competition, presented the winning Trophy for the Eko International Cup, the Official Match Ball ‘YIKA’ and the Official Jersey to the Governor.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
