Lagos Govt Seals Construction Sites For Dumping Building Materials On Drainage

Operatives of the Monitoring Enforcement and Compliance Department of the Lagos State Ministry of Environment have sealed five building sites in the state for environmental infractions.

The Lagos State Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, revealed this in a statement he posted via his X page on Thursday, 23rd of November, 2023.

According to him, the sites were sealed for failing to remove building materials dumped on the road and drainage setbacks despite several served notices.

His caption read,

“For failure to remove building materials dumped on the road and drainage setbacks/alignment despite several notices served, I have instructed that the operatives of the Monitoring Enforcement and Compliance Department of #LasgMOE seal five building sites for constituting environmental nuisance.
