Men from the Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, has patrolled various parts of Lagos State, starting from Gbagada Phase 2, through to Bariga Orita Fogo, inward Iyana Oworo and the Third Mainland Bridge, and other areas.
The patrol was aimed at curtailing street selling and maintaining environmental standards.
This was made known via a video on the X page of the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab on Friday, 17th of January 2025.
In the video, the operatives were seen confiscating unlawfully displayed goods by roadside sellers, while arresting a number of offenders.
The Caption reads:
“Last night, our dedicated enforcement teams actively patrolled various strategic locations across Lagos to ensure the safety and security of residents and visitors.
“The patrol started at Gbagada Phase 2, The team then moved to Bariga Orita Fogo, inward Iyana Oworo and the Third Mainland Bridge, Ewenla Street, Shomolu, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and deterring any unlawful activities.
