In a bid to promote a greener and healthier environment, the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) has kicked off the tree-planting season with the successful planting of 60 trees in Banana Island Estate.
According to the agency, the exercise which involved dedicated volunteers, marked the beginning of an ambitious goal to plant 10,000 trees across Lagos State.
The Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Lagos Governor, Jubril Gawat, on Saturday, 22nd of March 2025 announced this in a statement.
The caption reads:
“The rains have come in and the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (#LASPARKLagos) is on the move
“We planted 60 Trees in Banana Island Estate…it was a lot of hard work, but also loads of fun and our volunteers were great!!!
