The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has revealed that his administration would soon introduce electric boats for water transportation.
He called on the Federal and State governments to be on the same page on waterways in the country.
He pledged that the Lagos State Government will continue to improve and enhance its working relationship with the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).
Sanwo-Olu spoke while playing host to the Senate Committee on Marine Transportation and Blue Economy led by its Chairman, Senator Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni, on Thursday, 4th of July, 2024
He further stated that the Ministry Waterfront Infrastructure Development was set up by the State Government to put in place the right and needed infrastructure around waterways in the State, and therefore urged NIWA to be on the same page with the State Government. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
