Lagos Govt Demolishes Fences Blocking Drainage In Ikoyi

The Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, on Monday, 30th of October, 2023 commenced the removal of perimeter fences located within two meters of drainage channels on Norman Williams, Awolowo, and Dodan Barracks drainage in the Ikoyi area of the state.

Kunle Adeshina, the spokesperson for the ministry, disclosed this in a post shared on his X handle on Monday.

Adeshina wrote,

“Operatives of the Drainage Enforcement and Compliance dept of MOE&WR on Monday manually commenced the removal of wall fences within the 2 meters setback of the Awolowo Rd, Norman Williams, Dodan Barracks Drainage Collector in Ikoyi manually.
