Lagos Gov’t cracks down on traffic violations, impounds 57 vehicles

The Traffic Monitoring and Investigation Unit (TMI) of the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation conducted a comprehensive enforcement operation in the Iyana Ipaja area today.

The operation, which targeted inbound and outbound traffic, resulted in the impoundment of 57 commercial vehicles and tricycles for various traffic violations.

This was disclosed in a post via the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation Official X page on Saturday, 24th of August 2024.

The post reads:

“Today, the Traffic Monitoring and Investigation Unit (TMI) of the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation conducted a comprehensive enforcement operation around the Iyana Ipaja garage and its connecting roads, focusing on both inbound and outbound traffic.

“During the exercise, 57 commercial vehicles and tricycles were apprehended and impounded for various traffic violations, including illegal parking, picking up passengers at undesignated spots resulting in obstruction of traffic.

“This operation effectively cleared the area of vehicular congestion caused by these infractions, restoring smooth traffic flow and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
