The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, KAI has commenced clearing structures that are blocking the drainage channel in Okezie Ugbaja street and other areas of Okota, Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area of the State.
Tokunbo Wahab made this known in as the the state Commissioner, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, on Friday, 14th of June, 2024, the removal of the structures commenced after the expiration of several contravention notices served.
He wrote:
“Following several notices served, the operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps and other enforcement units of the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources today commenced the removal of contravening structures built on the drainage channel in Okezie Ugbaja street and other parts of Okota, Oshodi – Isolo LGA.
“The Lagos State government #followlasg reiterates its commitment to ensuring a cleaner Lagos and zero tolerance to building on drainage right of way.
“The Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources will remove any structure obstructing the free flow of rain water and causing flooding in all parts of the State.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
