Lagos Govt announces traffic diversion for installation of truck barrier at Ojuelegba Flyover

The Lagos State Government has announced a night traffic diversion for the installation of truck barriers which were recently damaged at Ojuelegba Flyover Bridge.

The traffic diversion is said to be between the hours of 10:00 pm on Saturday 26th to 5:00 am on Sunday 27th October, 2024.

This was made known via a statement by Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, on Thursday, 24th of October 2024.

The statement reads:

“The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion at Ojuelegba Flyover Bridge by the Fire Station from 10:00 pm on Saturday 26th to 5:00 am on Sunday 27th October, 2024 for the installation of truck barriers which were recently damaged.

“Consequently, Motorists are advised to use the highlighted route below during the nighttime installation of the barriers;
Motorists from Eko Bridge/Constain/Iponri inbound Ojuelegba are to make use of the Service Lane from the National Stadium gate to link Barracks to access their desired destinations.

“The Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, while urging Motorists to stop damaging the barriers or face the full wrath of the law, also implored them to be patient as the brief closure of the bridge is planned for nighttime as part of a traffic management strategy to avert further accidents and loss of lives.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
