The Lagos State government has added four more Local Government Areas and five Local Council Development Areas to the list of councils where motorcycle, popularly known as ‘Okada’ operations can’t operate in the state.
This was announced today (Thursday), 18th of August, 2022.
However, the popular okada bans goes into operation on the 1st of September, 2022.
The new area includes;
1. Kosofe Local Government
a. Ikosi-Isheri LCDA
b. Agboyi-Ketu LCDA
2. Oshodi-Isolo Local Government
a. Isolo LCDA
3. Shomolu Local Government
a. Bariga LCDA.
4. Mushin Local Government
a. Odi-Olowo LCDA
It was recalled that the Lagos state government has put to stop motorcycle operations in some major area of the state, FreshReporters had reported.
