Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos governor, on Monday, 24th of June, 2024 attended the meeting of the Southern Governors’ Forum.
Sharing photos from the meeting, Sanwo-Olu via his Facebook handle wrote:
“I am presently in Abeokuta, Ogun state, for a meeting with fellow governors from the Southern Governors Forum to discuss issues impacting our region and Nigeria as a whole.
“The Southern Governors’ Forum serves as the collective body for the 17 governors from the South-West, South-South, and South-East geopolitical zones of Nigeria.”
The meeting was held at the Presidential Lodge, Ibara Housing, Abeokuta in Ogun state.
Governors from all 17 southern states are expected at the meeting and although the reason and agenda for the meeting are not known yet, this is the first meeting of the Southern governors after the death of the former governor of Ondo state, late Rotimi Akeredolu. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
