A Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) belonging to the Lagos State Government travelling from Mile 2 Terminal to Lagos Island was allegedly attacked by suspected hoodlums.
The incident, which occurred around Alaba Suru axis saw passengers being robbed of their belongings in broad daylight.
A video of the attack has been circulating online showing the window glasses of the bus being broken by the hoodlums.
However, while reacting to the incident, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, Jubril Gawat, on Thursday, 15th of August, 2024, announced that the Lagos State TaskForce has deployed security officers on BRT routes across the State starting from the Alaba Suru area where the BRT was attacked.
Gawat wrote:
