The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Waste Infractions Surveillance and Investigation Team have apprehended 12 individuals caught engaging in illegal waste dumping in the Alimosho area of Lagos State.
Some of the offenders who were caught red-handed, opted for community service as a form of punishment. While others were however tracked to their homes for documentation and further legal action.
This was made known via a post on the X page of the Lagos Commissioner, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, on Friday, 4th of April 2025.
The post reads:
