Kwara Varsity Student Takes Her Own Life Due To Poor Academic Performance

Rashidat Shittu, a 400-level student at Kwara State University, Malete, in Moro Local Government Area, is said to have killed herself due to her poor academic standing.

Her colleagues claim that the deceased ingested insecticide to end her life before her upcoming tests.

It was stated that Shittu was pronounced dead when she was taken to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital for treatment.

According to reliable accounts, she was first taken to the school clinic before being advised to go to the teaching hospital in order to save her life.

The student was brought in dead, according to a staff member who was a member of the UITH medical team that treated her but did not want her name to be published.

Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, the Director of University Relations at KWASU, claimed via text message that she was unaware of the student’s passing when reached.
