Knockout Ban: Delta Police Threatens To Nab Defaulters

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, has called on the residents of Delta state against the use of knockouts and fireworks, stating that defaulters may be arrested.

He made this known on his X handle on Sunday, noting that kidnappers may ā€œtake advantage of guys throwing knockouts and use their guns to terrorise residents without being detected.ā€

Edafe wrote, ā€œToday is New Year’s Eve, and youths are likely to get carried away throwing knockouts and other fireworks. Let’s be reminded that It’s banned especially in Delta and you could get arrested for this.

ā€œFor avoidance of doubt, armed robbers, and kidnappers can take advantage of guys throwing knockouts and use their guns to terrorize residents without being detected hence the need to ban it. It’s for our good.
