Alhaji Garba Badamasi, the village chief of Riruwai in Lame District of Bauchi Emirate in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, has been assassinated.
It was learned that on Friday, March 15, 2024, gunmen broke into the community and abducted the leader of the village.
The shooters entered the deceased’s palace shortly afterwards, according to an unnamed source, and kidnapped him immediately.
It was said that the deceased had been held captive for a day prior to his death and the disposal of his body around the community.
Those who had started a search and rescue effort later found the corpse.
