In a surprising turn of events, the Kano state government initiated a demolition operation in the early hours of today, at approximately 2:00 am.
The target of this operation was the buildings surrounding the Polo field located in the Nasarawa area of the state.
The sudden demolition came as a shock to the residents of the affected area, who woke up to the sounds of heavy machinery and the sight of government officials carrying out the clearance operation.
Eyewitnesses reported witnessing bulldozers and other demolition equipment being utilized to bring down the structures adjacent to the Polo field.
