President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has presented Minimum Wage bill to House, seeks speedy passage.
The new bill is expected to legalise the N70, 000 minimum wage recently agreed upon between Organised Labour, Organised Private Sector and the government after series of long drawn negotiation.
The letter from the President, which was read on the floor of the House on Tuesday, provides for a new national minimum wage as well as the legal framework for the implementation of the agreed wage.
He appealed to the lawmakers to expedite the passage of the minimum wage bill to ensure immediate implementation for the benefit of Nigeria workers. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
